Circa Sports Ultimate Contest Weekend Returning in August

Circa Sports’ celebrated football contests, the Circa Million and Circa Survivor, are returning this year with an all-time high combined payout of $14 million and with that comes another addition of the operator’s “Ultimate Contest Weekend.”

The 2023 iteration of the event kicks off on Thursday, Aug. 24 and runs through Saturday, Aug. 26. Circa’s Ultimate Contest Weekend will include events at the operator’s eponymous venue in downtown Las Vegas as well as at the D. Participants in the contests are eligible for free rooms at Circa, the D and the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, all of which are owned by Circa boss Derek Stevens.

On Aug. 24, there will be a pop-up media event at Circa’s Galaxy Ballroom from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. where various sports betting media outlets and personalities will discuss their views on the 2023 football season. A welcome reception is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at BarCanada at the D where contest participants can meet Stevens and past Circa Survivor and Million winners.

This season will mark the fifth iteration of the increasingly popular NFL contests with the combined payout of $14 million easily exceeding last year’s $12 million. Circa doesn’t take a rake on the contests.

Circa Offers Perks for Contest Participants

Ultimate Contest Weekend is open to all competitors in the Circa football contests, regardless of how many entries they commit to. There are some notable perks, too.

A full house of entries consists of five $1,000 entries in Circa Million V and 10 $1,000 entries in Circa Survivor. This will include a complimentary three-night hotel stay at Circa with an option to upgrade to a suite at no additional cost Sunday through Thursday,” according to a statement issued by Las Vegas-based Circa.

Participants that shell out for 10 to 14 entries across the two competitions can get free Sunday through Thursday three-night stays at the D and Golden Gate with an option to upgrade to Circa for a fee. Anyone with five to nine entries in either contest will be eligible for a casino room rate for a three-night stay at either of three casino hotels while participants with one to four entries in either contest can get that treatment for one night.

There’s a limit of five Circa Million entries per person, while Survivor participation is capped at 10 entries per player.

In 2022, 6,133 participants signed up for Survivor while Circa Million had a field of nearly 4,700 contestants.

More on Circa Ultimate Contestant Weekend

On Aug. 25, there will be an open bar from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Circa’s famed Stadium Swim where contest entrants can mingle with sports betting media personalities. The next day, Director of Operations Mike Palm will host the Circa Football Preview in the Galaxy Ballroom from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“This panel will feature sports betting experts and personalities to provide insight into the upcoming 2023-2024 pro football season, the contests and more,” according to the statement.

Proxy services will be available at each event, which is vital to contest participants that are not Nevada residents because picks must be made from within the state.
