The second person had in his possession possible marijuana and a firearm, Texas TV station KSAT reported. Several gaming machines were also seized in the search, according to Texas TV station KTSA.

Initially, no one came to the door when sheriff’s deputies knocked on the door armed with a search warrant. They later forced open the door.

They saw some 10 people inside playing slot machines, KTSA reported. It is unclear if they will be charged. The charges on the two apprehended suspects were not immediately known.

The gambling operation was the subject of several civilian complaints to the sheriff’s office before deputies sought the search warrant.

Hard Rock Northern Indiana Robbery

A man was arrested on May 12 a day after he allegedly robbed about $500 from a blackjack winner in the parking lot at the Hard Rock Casino North Indiana.

The would-be victim was walking to his car when another car pulled up behind him. An armed suspect exited the second car and demanded the victim’s cash.

It turns out the suspect was tailing the victim inside the casino and saw him cash in his chips, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The suspect was later identified as Anthony A. Odneal of Riverdale, Ill. He was apprehended and charged with armed robbery — taking property by force or threatening use of force.

Last week, he appeared in local court before Magistrate Kathleen O’Sullivan. He was booked at the Lake County Jail. His bond was set at $40K.

Man Allegedly Assaults EMT, Police Officer at Casino

An intoxicated man allegedly resisted arrest earlier this month at WarHorse Casino in a May 14 incident in the Lincoln, Neb.’s casino’s parking lot.

The suspect, Zachary Krull, 32, was apprehended and restrained after he allegedly shoved one Lincoln Fire & Rescue emergency responder and attempted to punch another one, according to Nebraska TV station KFOR.

He then allegedly kicked a police officer in the face and chest as officers tried to place him in a cruiser.

Eventually, Krull was booked for three counts of assault on an officer/health care professional, as well as resisting arrest charges, according to Nebraska TV station KOLN.

Canadian Denied His Expected Jackpot

A Canadian man filed a lawsuit after he claimed he was not given a $220,550 jackpot while playing an internet casino game that is registered in Argentina, according to a recent report.

Victor Janicki of Kelowna, British Columbia, a retired attorney, filed the legal action in British Columbia Supreme Court.

He claims he made a side bet while playing blackjack on February 23 on BetOnline.ag’s BJ Classic Game, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Janicki was dealt two 7s of diamonds. He became eligible for a jackpot. But his screen blackened for several seconds. When it reappeared, Janicki saw two online employees who told him he won a jackpot and congratulated him.

But later, casino staff told he never won the money. In early April, Janicki was sent a re-creation of what happened in the game. Janicki disputes their version.

He then filed the legal action in an effort to collect the money. A judge may release a directed verdict in the case sometime next month, the Review Journal reported.

The news organization could not reach BetOnline.ag for comment on the litigation.
